Arts and Texts Studio
At the intersection of Tanakh and the arts: Students will study the early chapters of Bereishit to explore how they serve as a model for the creative process. How have parshanim and artists grappled with these stories throughout history?

Trip Days
Drisha summers are all about learning, but Dr. Beth Samuels z”l envisioned a learning program infused with community and fun too. This summer we’re adding in two trip days on Sundays where we’ll head out of camp for a different kind of fun!

Sponsor a Day of Learning
Students in our beit midrash spend a minimum of six hours a day learning Torah. Sponsor a day of our learning in honor of a woman who loves or loved Torah, and we’ll be sure to tell our students all about her!

Transportation Costs
Like it sounds! Vroom vroom. We have to get the talmidot from here to there and back again!

Mishmar Learning
Sponsor a Thursday night open beit midrash learning session! On Thursday nights students, staff and faculty all learn together in the Beit Midrash preparing for Shabbat and pursuing their own learning interests.

Madricha Night Activities
Cupcake decorating, talent night, bonfires, improv nights… who even knows what our talented madrichot will come up with next!

Bandanas
This classic Drisha high school item offers a fun form of identification for our students on trips out of camp. Drisha high school has been using bandanas as a form of identification on trips for what feels like generations!

Better Coffee
Every beit midrash runs on coffee. This is the difference between instant and cold brew.

Color War
As always, we can’t tell you whether or not it’s happening. And we certainly can’t tell you when. Or which team you might be on. Or what the theme might be.

Debate Midrash
The skills of extemporaneous public speech are under-taught in schools but essential in life and in Torah. In our weekly Debate Midrash, students give short speeches for and against the proposition, and at the end of the night it goes to a vote.

Gemara Cards
Koren Publisher’s Gemara Cards offer up a handy Talmud resource that our students will use during their summers with Drisha and for many years to come.

Students vs Staff Gaga
Have you even learned gemara if you haven’t tried to beat your teacher at gaga? Unclear.

Tisch Snacks
Friday nights at Drisha feature raucous student-led tisches full of Divrei Torah and joyful singing. But it wouldn’t be a tisch without the snacks!
