Sponsor a Day of Learning
Students in our beit midrash spend a minimum of six hours a day learning Torah. Sponsor a day of our learning in honor of a woman who loves or loved Torah, and we’ll be sure to tell our students all about her!
Field Trips
Drisha summers are all about learning, but Dr. Beth Samuels z”l envisioned a learning program infused with community and fun too. This summer, field trips will add to our understanding of the laws of Kashrut.
Beit Midrash Hevruta Learning for MS/HS
We set up a full Beit midrash for our campers so they can explore and take their learning to new heights. Help us stock our shelves with sefarim! This summer, our Middle and High schoolers will learn Mishnah together weekly in hevruta.
Madricha Night Activities
Art, talent night, bonfires, baking… who even knows what our talented madrichot will come up with next! Sponsor Madricha activities and community building!
Hands on Halacha
Our Middle School students get to learn Halacha each afternoon, with hands on activities to bring the texts to life. Sponsor an Experiential Halacha class, this summer we’re learning Kashrut – yum!
Better Coffee
Every beit midrash runs on coffee. This is the difference between instant and cold brew.
Color War
As always, we can’t tell you whether or not it’s happening. And we certainly can’t tell you when. Or which team you might be on. Or what the theme might be.
Debate Midrash
The skills of extemporaneous public speech are under-taught in schools but essential in life and in Torah. In our weekly Debate Midrash, students give short speeches for and against the proposition, and at the end of the night it goes to a vote.
Gemara Cards
Koren Publisher’s Gemara Cards offer up a handy Talmud resource that our students will use during their summers with Drisha and for many years to come.
Transportation
Our campers come to us from all over the US and Israel! Help us transport our students get from the airport to Drisha, and to various outings!
Siyyum!!
Each summer, our MS and HS program each conclude with a delicious and meaningful siyyum to mark and celebrate their incredible learning accomplishments! Our HS students ambitiously plan to complete a masekhet in Bekiut Gemara and our entire student and staff community plan to make a Siyyum Mishnah on Seder Nezikin.
