In this series, we continue our engagement with the teachings of the Piacezner Rebbe, R. Kalonymous Kalman Shapira, chiefly those produced in the Warsaw Ghetto. Together with the Piacezner, we ask: How do we prepare for the grand celebration of Shavuot in the midst of so much pain? What does receiving the Torah look like in this context? Can we discover the joy of Torah in a period of mourning?
