Learn Gemara with Drisha’s Kollel

The Drisha Kollel begins each day with intensive Talmud study, and we are opening the Talmud shiurim to members of the community. If you would like to spend each morning for one month or two learning with us, we invite you to join our study of the sixth chapter of Masekhet Sanhedrin. The chapter focuses on judicial procedure and punishment, addressing questions such as the purpose of punishment, how we are to enact love of our fellow in the most extreme situations, and conflicts between honoring the dead and honoring the living.

Classes meet Monday to Friday, from 9:30am to 1pm.
Apply for one session or two: May 25-June 23; June 26-July 28.
Apply below.

We offer three levels of Talmud classes, from beginner through advanced (all classes will study the primary sources in the original Hebrew and Aramaic):
Level I with Miriam Gedwiser (for students with strong proficiency with Hebrew language skills and some prior experience with Talmud study);
Level II with Jon Kelsen (for students with strong proficiency learning Talmud with Rashi and significant prior experience with Tosafot and other Rishonim);
Level III with Devora Steinmetz (for advanced students with fluency in learning Talmud with Rishonim and Acharonim).
