Shalom Holtz

Shalom Holtz is on the Bible and Semetics Faculty at Yeshiva University. He has a PhD from UPenn and a BA from Harvard, both in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. An Assyriologist and biblical scholar, his publications address Mesopotamian law and religious literature and their relationships to biblical and post-biblical writings. He is the author of Neo-Babylonian Trial Records (Society of Biblical Literature, 2014) and Neo-Babylonian Court Procedure (Brill, 2009).
