In this series, we examine the prophetic readings chosen as the haftarot of the high holiday season, specifically those which follow the morning Torah readings on both days of Rosh haShanah and on Yom Kippur. We will pay special attention to how these haftarot function as keys for interpreting the preceding Torah readings and, more broadly, how they might reflect understandings of the holiday on which they are recited.
