Based on a wide range on newly identified inner-biblical connections, this course presents a novel reading of the book of Jonah, whereby the prophet seeks to escape his divine mission in favor of the idyllic environment of the Garden of Eden.




Dr. Yitzhak Berger

Yitzhak Berger is Professor of Biblical Studies at Hunter College. He has a PhD in Bible from the Bernard Revel Graduate School and ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary.
